143 Don't Worry, Be Happy: A Lesson on Toxic Positivity

How many times have you had a bad day and shared it with someone and they said “ah, it’s gonna be alright” or “don’t worry about it, things could be worse.”  Or maybe when you’re going through a tough time you tell yourself “It’ll be fine” “everything is great”.  Listen, It’s about time we stop lying to ourselves thinking it will help us feel good, because the truth is, sometimes too much positivity can be a bad thing.  In today’s episode we are going to discuss toxic positivity, what it is, why you shouldn’t do it, and how not to participate in it with yourself and others and I hope to inspire you to be truthful.
